India’s democracy is not blessed with the principles of liberty, economic freedom and free market. What we have is a system of coercion, gigantic bureaucracy and draconian regulations. To overcome this predicament, Free A Billion (FAB) is doing its best. FAB is an apolitical platform based in Mumbai. FAB’s movement is social in nature. Considering that India is ranked 130 out of 189 countries in the “Ease of Doing Business Report 2016”, FAB aims to revamp India’s operating system by creating a popular demand for a new set of rules for the country that safeguard individual freedom for all persons.
India needs better rules and not bitter rulers. For example: India is ranked 124 out of 166 countries as per the Index of Economic Freedom, 2016. Therefore, India’s growth story is sad.
