These Old Tweets of Congress IT Cell Head Ramya on Bengaluru Roads is Haunting the Karnataka Govt!

The iconic silicon city of India Bengaluru was once known for its Lakes, well-planned roads, gardens and cleanliness. All thanks to the 16th Century Chieftain Kempegowda for his visionary ideas. However, the unprecedented level and magnitude of growth over the last couple of decade have left Bengaluru relentless. Today we are known for fuming lakes, concrete gardens, garbage and smelling and open drainages, and of course roads inside potholes!!

Yes, you are reading it right. The situation in Bangalore right now is exactly like that. It is delusional to comprehend and accept the fact that most of the Bangalore roads are non-motorable. Potholes of the size of human beings have surfaced on many roads. Adding to the pain is the improper rainwater management that floods the roads every time it rains not only making it painful to travel but also making the potholes wider and deeper. A shocking fact that is disturbing is that the last one week has seen the death of 5 two-wheeler riders. And all these deaths are directly linked to potholes.

However, the Karnataka government and it’s Bangalore development minister Mr. K.J George have carelessly and shamelessly denied that the condition of roads were not the reasons of these deaths. But history doesn’t lie! Here is what the actress turned politician and the Congress IT convener Divya Spandana Ramya had tweeted 4 years ago about the conditions of roads, and how she had stated that people shouldn’t pay taxes until the roads are repaired.

Seems like Karma has found a way to get back to her now.
