Two young and passionate musicians of Mangalore have made sure that this Christmas will be a very beautiful and memorable one for the Konkani music lovers around them. The duo is all set to release their music album Mog Asom 2. Mog Asom 2 is a Konkani album that is a lyrical masterpiece created by Joel Rebello and Darrel Mascarenhas and revolves around the theme of love, beauty and celebrations amongst other things. The duo joined hands to bring out their album after the overwhelming success of various projects they have collaborated. These songs were developed over a period of one and a half year with pristine importance given to melody and the beauty of music.
Mog Asom 2 features prominent singers like Armaan Malik, Bappi Lahiri, Usha Uthup of the Bollywood fame and Gonzaga Cutinho from Portugal. Many singers with national and international acclaim, talented technicians and artists have also featured in this album.
Joel and Darrel had partnered before in creating a lot of successful commercials, promotional songs and music for various corporates and businesses. The understanding developed in these projects helped the pair to collaborate again to create a musical album in Konkani. Mog Asom 2 revolves around versatile concepts and is a musical extravaganza which features various local themes and genres like Special Baila, Love Ballads, Nasik Band among others. A lot of emphasis can be seen on colourfully and musically representing the Konkani culture and essence of their lifestyle. The recording of Mog Asom 2 was carried out in various recording studios in India and Portugal. Studios in Mumbai and Calcutta and some studios in South India were used for recording to accommodate the various artists who were a part of this album.
The mixing-mastering is done in one of the best equipped and advanced technology graded studio in the USA by none other than Darrel Mascarenhas himself.
