ಏಕಾಂಗಿ ಸಂಚಾರಿ

ಮಡದಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಜತೆಗೂಡಿ

ಊರು ಊರು

ತಿರುಗಿ

ಕೆಲಸವ ಹುಡುಕುತ,

ಮನೆಯನು ಕಟ್ಟುತ

ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಹೊಸ ಜಗವ ಹುಡುಕುತ ….

ನಿಲ್ಲದ ಪಯಣ

ಸಾಗುತ ಜೀವನ

( Inspired by PB Shrinivas song “ Sipayi Ramu ” Kannada movie starring the legend Dr. Rajkumar ) I can give you English mood(not exact translation)  of the above line (** I am kinda of KANNADIGA in thinking, so u cant stop me writing in Kannada )

Destiny is unknown,

Unknown roads,

Travelling all alone,

Yeah, I do have my family

but only I know how insecure,

searching for jobs,

better jobs,

sufficient ,

building houses changing locations,

unstoppable sometimes ….leading the life towards glare

I see people travel for fun, for some it’s passion, for some it’s mandate part of life. People change their jobs for a better opportunity, better living. Everyone in every sector does the same. Changing a job is also part of travelling, it may be middle-income family or below poverty family. We go behind a better environment for our career, exposure for oneself and always for better livelihood. People travel by different means of the transport.  Cycle, bike, car, Bus, flights, train and what not.. but the common thing between all is Travel.

People call it life behind a wheel,

Some call it life on the saddle,

Some name it life behind the bars,

But this guy in the picture is travelling along with his family for his livelihood. This picture was  taken on 30-12-2012 while I was working as a photojournalist for Vijaya Vani newspaper .it’s  a cropped picture of a goods rickshaw which was transporting the family from Maharashtra border  till Bangalore. Our country has seen a large influx of refugee populations across the borders of countries … interesting part is we also can find a kind of refugees even inside the borders of the states of the country. People changing their working places every now and then — with respect of different states, different cities, languages etc., Everything is for a better place, better job, better food, and better future for their family and for themselves.
