Suffering from unbearable toothache? Then, you should try these

A toothache is an unbearable pain. It’s symptoms include sharp pain or dull pain in or around the tooth. The hard outer layer of the tooth is called enamel and softer layer beneath the enamel is called dentine. The center of the tooth is called pulp chamber and contains pulp. The pulp is comprised of blood vessels and nerves. The common cause for the tooth ache is dental cavities. The cavities are usually felt when it gets deeper in to the layers of the tooth structure. Even gum diseases can cause tooth to ache. Infection causes space that develops between tooth and gum resulting in pain.There are many more causes for the pain but these are the main ones.

After you brush your teeth, after some hours you can observe thin plaque on your teeth. This can be tested by scraping the teeth by finger nails and see what comes off. These plaque bacteria loves sugar and carbohydrates. They produce a harmful acid which erodes and destroys the tooth structure and form cavities. Tooth ache is seen after the caries formation gets near the nerve or pulp. One can feel just a sensitivity at this stage, if left untreated it can cause severe pain.

In ancient days, the tooth were repaired with internal and external medicines. Astringent tasting tree twigs were used as tooth brush. As this taste has got anti-bacterial action and helps in removal of plaque. Fasting and intake of internal medicine and some of tooth paste were prepared in olden days. It helped not only for the recovery of tooth aches and also helped to strengthen root of the teeth. These medicines were said to decrease the toxins responsible for the decaying of tooth.

Some of the remedies that you can try at home are;

1. Mustard seeds has its place in Indian kitchen and used for a variety of purposes. It has a great nutritional value and health benefits. It can be used for maintaining oral health. One teaspoon of mustard seeds is put in to the mouth early morning. It is chewed nicely and kept in mouth for few minutes. As it is having pungent taste it helps to keep the oral cavity clean removing the oral plaque. It is a remedy in preventing oral caries and gum diseases. It can be chewed two times a day early morning and night before going to bed for 5 minutes. In Initial days its taste may create nauseating feeling while chewing. Once you practise this,oral health will be in your hands!!!

2. Clove oil can be applied to the exposed area of the tooth by bitting in to a small cotton ball that is soaked with clove oil this heals the tooth ache.

3. Pepper is powdered finely and put in to a cotton ball. It is kept over the tooth which aches for some times by bitting it in teeth. Herbal tooth pastes which is having clove, neem, salt, camphor as its ingredients can be used for brushing the teeth.

So try these things and give your teeth a second chance to repair itself.
