Stretch Your Mobile Battery Life By Following Simple Adjustments

Wife is waiting for a movie, husband’s phone battery died on the way to home followed by a fight. A friend calls you to ask loan amount back, your phone is switched off. A misunderstanding leads him to think like, you are cheating.

You and I came across many situations where our mobile battery plays a vital role in a fight, misunderstanding or a breakup. Maybe you have faced the problem or else you have seen it in your close ones. The only way to stretch your phone’s battery life is by taking precautions.

Phone battery depends on many things; the secret is just to use those depending factors wisely. Followings are some adjustments which you can follow in your daily routine by which your mobile battery life can be stretched.

  • Use original Chargers and batteries:

Using branded or original charger and batteries make your battery life good. Some of the phone manufacturing companies may suggest third party chargers and batteries. Cheap quality and inappropriate chargers, batteries will always end up with bad battery life and may harm your phones health too.

  • Dark Wallpaper, themes, backgrounds:

Wallpaper is the main reasons of battery consumption since you have a large display screen on most of the android phones. Non-black colour wallpaper needs more pixels to be illuminated on the screen while the black once saves battery by illuminating fewer pixels on the screen. Hence setting the black wallpaper, selecting darker themes and darker app backgrounds helps to improve your phone’s battery life.

  • Auto-brightness:

Auto-brightness is best features to use on android mobiles since they control the brightness according to the daylight. If we try to set brightness to two level one for outside use, where we need more brightness and another one for inside use, where fewer brightness settings, then without using auto-brightness feature we can save a good amount of battery for other tasks.

Usually, use of auto brightness drains phones battery compared to manual switching. Changing brightness is not so difficult task in many android as its just drag and touch.

Note: Keeping brightness to its highest level usually harms the eyesight.

  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Vibration, Gestures, Voice and notification sounds:

Your phones need not to be smart every second, so it’s better to make some features OFF when they are not used.GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth fetches lots of battery so better to use them when they are in need and switch them off  after the use.

Gestures and voice recognition are not used for the whole day its good habit to switch them off when they are not in use. Use Vibration on priority can save more battery of your phone for the end of the day.

A social networking site, messaging apps sound notification not only drains battery life even they can disturb our work. Customizing notifications are best way to control these.Whatsapp already has customization features so better mute all groups which are answered later.

  • Screen timeout and Sync features:

Set your screen timeout to less time, it’s also called sleep. Set it to 15 to 30 seconds so the battery may not drain when you are not using the phone.

Sync features allow you to get emails on the phone, update drop box, photos and many things. Its fetches huge amount of battery, you don’t want to waste 5% of your battery just for promotional emails. So try to sync only necessary inbox emails, keep the photo sync next priority since you can do it in free time or while the phone is charging.

  • Battery Saving, fewer widgets:

Set battery saving mode for 15% to 20% so you can use the end of battery life efficiently or it may remember you to “stop playing games” or “it’s time for phone charging”.

Less widget on the phone always good for battery life. Keep Home screen simple as it’s not your table drawer to be messy.

The last one is a suggestion; your phone is not your girlfriend, that you want to keep looking at it always, Give it time. It is the only best way to keep battery life of your phone and even for your eyes to be normal. I am not saying not to use the phone, I am saying it use it as a phone.
