While the whole nation was glued to their television to cheer Indian Olympians Afghanistan showed its love for India by protecting Indian National flag. It’s very unfortunate that no Indian media found it important to report this critical development. The Incident took place on 18th of August 2016 with thousands of Afghanistan citizens celebrating its 97th Independence day marched on streets of Spin Boldak and eventually reached the Afgan-Pak Friendship Gate at Chaman.

The Afghans though seemed to raise anti-Pakistan slogans got furious when they saw Pakistanis shouting Anti-India and Anti-Modi slogans pertaining to P M Modi’s remark on Balochistan liberation from Pakistan. The situation escalated when demonstrator from either country inched close to Chaman gate with Afghans attacking the Chaman friendship gate.  Despite armed forces being deployed at the border, Pakistan forces looked helpless as Afghans in Large number stormed Chaman gate to snatch the Indian flag from the protesters in Pakistan side to rescue them. Afghans shouted Pro-Indian and Afghan friendship slogans and burnt 100s of Pakistan flags at the Friendship gate. Afghan protesters are reported to have lodged rockets at the Pakistan border.

This incident was immediately reported to Islamabad following which Chaman gate was closed for indefinite period. While thousands of trucks lined up at the border to enter either country Afgan protester said they don’t care about Borders being shut, Pakistan is only trading terrorism and we won’t let Pakistan defame India as Indian have always been good to us and we share a historical bond.
