School in UP Bans National Anthem

Allahabad: In a shocking incident a M A Convent school a private school in the Sadiabad district of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh banned the national anthem in its premises.

As reported, the manager of the school Mohammad Zia-ul Haq has asked the students not to sign national anthem as he felt that the line “Bharat Bhagya Vidhata” in the anthem is against Islam. The school has 330 students; while 200 are Hindus, 130 students are Muslim.

8 teachers of the school have resigned from the job so far protesting against the Ban on national anthem. It’s very unfortunate that there has been no action taken against the administration of the school said BJP leader Shrikant Sharma and he said he would look into this and also added it becomes the responsibility of every individual to question this move of the school
