Reclaim Pakistan occupied Indian territory and launch a stern attack on Pakistan, tells VHP to Central Government

After the national wide outrage over terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Uri army base, RSS hardline affiliate, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), has urged Indian government to  launch a unprecedented  attack on Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) to destroy terror camps and take control of what they assert is “Indian territory” as per the Shimla treaty.

The Uri attack on Sunday has given the Indian government “legitimate reason to retaliate by entering PoK,” VHP’s international joint general secretary Surendra Jain said addressing the media.

Unlike the BJP mentor RSS, which has in the past backed the government’s Pakistan policy, the VHP demands India shed its “soft approach” towards Pakistan. Irrespective of the fact that VHP is an affiliation of RSS, VHP on its stand on Pakistan and anti-India elements are not aggressive and doesn’t mind criticizing BJP.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to the 17 soldiers (killed in the Uri attack), but a real tribute would be to hunt down the terrorists who escaped to PoK and finish the terror camps,” Jain said.

Urging the government to take a tough position vis-a-vis Pakistan, he said India must mount pressure to reclaim PoK and put an end to the complication. VHP urged not to entertain Pakistani shows on Indian soil. A country which cannot respect India should have absolute no business with us, be it economical and cultural.

This is not the first time the Hindutva outfit has asked for a robust response to Pakistan for sponsoring terrorism in India and VHP is been pushing for stern action.

After the Pathankot attack in January this year, the VHP had petitioned PM Modi to take strong action against Pakistan. A group of VHP leaders in Uttar Pradesh had even submitted a petition to the PM to declare war against Pakistan.

The shift in India’s policy by announcing that it will raise the issue of human rights violations in Balochistan at various levels has been hailed by the Hindutva outfit.

“PM Modi had raised the issue of Balochistan (during this Independence Day speech), now is the time to take it forward,” Jain said.

The RSS, which backed PM Modi when he called on his counterpart Nawaz Sharif in Lahore, had earlier called for caution after the Pathankot attack.

Dubbing Pakistan a “rogue state”, RSS joint general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale in June cautioned the government that it should not overlook the fact that past attempts to broker peace with the neighbour were met with aggression and terror strikes, such as the Kargil war and the Pathankot attack.

Hosable stressed India should be vigilant at all times, since Pakistan is administered by the “army generals” and not an elected government. Attack on Indian army cannot be tolerated anymore and it is time government of India acts, the people of this nation has rejected congress for not acting stiff on Pakistan and it the present government should remember this. Soldiers life is very precious and we cannot afford to loose these precious life to rogue and looser nation said VHP.
