Lenovo Vibe P1 and Vibe P1m opinion

If I were given a chance to change an aspect of every smartphone in the world, at the drop of a hat, I would choose to improve the battery life. We all have been there, wall-huggers, wires and power banks. So, before I look for any feature on a smartphone, I would first look at the battery size and then think about knowing more about that device. Hey, what’s the point of having an Einstein’s body, if he’s no longer alive? heck. Yet, all the smartphone manufacturers are worried about innovating and making phones look and perform better, with no improvement in the battery life.

Somehow, every now and then we see some OEM’s taking a small step towards increasing the battery size, but the phones used to look big and ugly. Ask everyone who owns a Chinese device about it. Some reputed brands like Motorola have tried and succeeded in making a beautiful phone with bigger battery. After Motorola was sold to Lenovo, we see the similar efforts from Lenovo too. They now focus more on design and build quality. The result of all these are the latest devices from Lenovo, Lenovo Vibe P1 and Vibe P1m.

Opinion:

Lenovo has done a wonderful job with these two devices by getting the design right. The phone has solid specs sheet with a whopping battery. Although the camera has more pixels, you can expect a mediocre one, if not good. Considering a price of 16,000 Rs. /- for Vibe P1 and 8,000 Rs. /- for Vibe P1m, the specs are more than what you should get. If you are looking for a solid phone with a huge battery, you can definitely consider the Vibe P1, which gives you a solid device with fingerprint reader as well. If you are looking for a budget phone, then Lenovo P1 is the way to go.
