If you want us to live in NAMMA BENGALURU, you should do this Guru

What comes to your mind when you hear about the word Bengaluru? If you are an outsider and the one who have never been to this city you will think of this place as a garden city or the silicon city of India. But if you are here for some time the reality of the situation unfolds in front of you. Traffic, pollution, lack of space and substandard infrastructure are turning out to be banes for the city which were once considered one of the well-planned cities in the country. The citizens have raised questions about this issue but the government has shown a set of the deaf ear towards this. But the Karnataka investors meet on February 3rd had the techies demanding Government’s attention towards this. Infosys co-founder N.R.Narayana Murthy in his inaugural session of the global investors meet said, “My request to the state chief minister and industries minister is to help us make Murthy in his inaugural address urged the Government to provide better lifestyle Bengaluru more livable for all, especially youngsters, by improving its infrastructure and quality of life,” He was also specific in mentioning that Bengaluru stood as the first choice for most of its employees because of its ambience, weather, cosmopolitan outlook and entrepreneurship.

He asserted, “As most of our youngsters want to work in Bengaluru, the state government should make commuting easy with better connectivity, provide healthcare facilities and access to modern education for professionals and their children.” Now the point is to wait and watch if the BBMP and the government of Karnataka are going to work in the regard of making Bengaluru more livable.

Readoo India  suggests certain infrastructure changes that can help meet this goal

1. Improve the public transport facility. There are corporate friendly AC buses which run across the city. The number of these buses have to be increased. And the quality of the customer service has to be scaled up to meet standards

2. The “ Namma Metro” which looks promising to solve the traffic problems has to be operational fully as soon as possible, and a network infrastructure like Delhi is a need that is to be fulfilled

3. The peripheral ring road proposal to divert traffic is still in the planning phase. That needs to be implemented

4. Over bridges and underpasses for safer pedestrian movement and commuting has to be incorporated in densely populated areas.

5. The Tin factory K.R Puram, Silk Board, Marathalli are places to name a few in the vicinity of industrial hubs and SEZ’s. These places are the bottlenecks which are causing a lot of traffic problems. A permanent solution to avoid these problems has to be come up with.

These are few of our suggestions. You are free to drop your opinion on other changes that you think will help us all make “Namma Bengaluru” more livable. Feel free to comment on what you feel about this.
