A cat chose a place inside our compound to give birth to its kids. It gave birth to around four kids (as my mother told me about that). I rarely worry or look at such things. Though I love pets I didn’t show much interest in such things, as I know I will fall in love with them.
One day while I was busy in doing morning stuff around 6.15am, I saw a cat with its beautiful well-known words meeyyyaaav… meyyyyaavvv….roaming inside our home. My father suggested me to put some milk for her (mother cat).
It looked the mother cat understood the words and started following me, then I allowed it to drink a glass of milk (small one). It was a great experience. Different than feeding a cow as they rarely come and rub you (hope you understood what I meant).
Friends I tell you, the next day the mother cat came exactly at 6.15am and forced me to go to the kitchen and to collect milk for it and it was all along between my legs…crazy cat. I saw a kind of moulding in the behaviour of the mother cat. It repeated in the evening, as I could not stop myself from it. I also spent some time with it as it allowed me to touch and play with herself.
Guess what friends, the next day the mother cat introduced its kitten (who survived among the four) to me at 6-15am. Brought her only left the kitten out of its protected area. With a higher amount of milk and fun, the process was repeated.
The mother cat was happy and it looked the kitten too. I was amazed! The behaviour of the mother cat made me think a bit and compare human’s (our) behaviour with other creatures and among ourselves. It looked we copy a lot from other creatures and rarely learn from them.
The way the mother cat protected her child, the way it built the relation, the way it brought faith, love etc., amazing. I think you might have experienced such things better, if not try once. And I bet friends you will repeat.
I remember the words of my guru about the cat and its behaviour, those were about the way the mother cat takes care of her kitten (the mother cat holds the kitten in its mouth and carries) and the way the kitten surrenders itself to its mother (the kitten allows its mother to do so).
I also remember the words of my grandmother who used to say that, these cats are not like dogs. Hahaha!! You might have heard those too. Hahaha!!
To me it looks as we have the stomach, all other creatures do. Be kind control your desires and use of resources so that all other creatures get their basic needs water, food and shelter. Let’s live and let other creatures live. I know you cannot save but you can take few steps by which nature will save its belongings.
