I know that stating Karnataka has come to a verge of a constitutional breakdown is a big statement to make. However, the nature of events that have taken place in the past has made me wonder if the statement fits in aptly to the situation of the state. First, it was the killing of Inspector Mallikarjun Bande, then it was the suicide of IAS officer DK Ravi and now it’s the suicide of two police officers MK Ganapathy is the second DYSP of Karnataka police to end his life in the past three days. On Tuesday, Chikkamagaluru Rural DSP Kallappa Handibag, 35, hanged himself in his in-laws’ residence in Murgod town of Belagavi district. And apparently the downplaying of MK Ganapathi’s death started as soon as the news first came up in the media. The DYSP had in a media interview had stated that he was under extreme pressure from higher officials, and also the previous home minister KJ George. He just went into the hotel room he was in, and hours later was found dead hanging himself to the fan in the room. Respected CM Siddaramaih ji, a few questions are to be asked here. How easily you downplay the incidents happening around. The death of higher officials in your government, the resignation of some other official stating vendetta politics from you are not simple things. You may try to act unaffected, the oppositions may not have time to discuss all these, but we the active social media users are at least watching this. Asking people to drive carefully avoiding pits in the road, stopping an ambulance and causing the death of an elderly lady just because the CM convoy had to pass by are not laurels to your position. This is not the first scandalous decision, the wrist watch scam and then the community-based welfare schemes, and the list goes on and on. The moving out of manufacturing factories like triumph motorcycles, the shift of Amazon warehouse from Karnataka to Hyderabad, the Flipkart stating problems in Karnataka, Bosch threatening to move out of Karnataka are not good things to the state. The IT hub would also have a say in the near future. Maybe you have taken the state for granted. You may be of the thought that no one can touch you or make you do things because I am the chief minister of the state. But the wheels do turn Mr. CM. This is a democracy. Well, you need to wake up once for all and have an attitude change to be someone respectful.
Next part now. Dear Mr. Yeddyurappa, I hope that you understand that you are the state president of the national party which is in power in the country and well the followers of BJP expect something from you. None of the supporters can just vote because Narendra Modi is the prime minister and he is doing great deeds. We are going to see another Bihar like the result if that is the assumption. People expect that you react to these situations, opposition is to be constructive in getting development, and getting the government to work. But you seem to have lost in setting the core committee right. The right persons in the right posts you see. What is wrong with you Mr. Party president? Do you think you become the natural choice just because the current government is corrupt? Well, come out of that idiotic mindset. I wish we had a choice to make. At least I would opt out of voting if I had to choose between a corrupt and another less corrupt guy.
Well, all things set aside. I hope and ask and wish to see constructive political change happening in Karnataka. I hope to see an environment where the Police can work without pressure, a place where companies and corporates would want to invest, and a place which becomes an example of a ‘WELFARE STATE’.
