All the good, righteous people and virtuous Sadhus along with Bhu (The name of Earth in Sanskrit, considered the one of wives of Vishnu) went to see the creator Brahma to seek and find a solution to the menace of Ravana and rid his band of Rakshasas from the face of the earth.
The all knowing consciousness of Brahma realised instantaneously that the Rakshasas are on the verge of destroying the Earth. The lord of the four bearings, the Chaurmukha-Brahma, the creator instinctively knew what must be done. The will is basically the power to manifest form the unmanifest Shiva and bring phenomenon into the physical world, it is called Iccha Shakti.
The Iccha Shakti (The divine will-power) that is yourself Devi have manifested in the minds of people as my consort Parvati. You see Devi; it is again you that is the Bhu who has manifested as the grand screen or stage called earth where all the activities or the play of life happens.
You see Devi, whenever the balance of nature is disrupted, it calls for immediate action.
From me Shiva the pure potential, again the Kriya Shakti (The divine power of action) emerges; That too is a manifestation of you Devi, known verily as Lakshmi. Presently, the creator and the controller of flow and direction of the universe Brahma realised that he must appeal to Vishnu, the lord of all action and happenings of the universe; who along with Lakshmi makes all things manifest.
The great potential flux, the primordial soup before the beginning of time is Vishnu. The sum total of all potential energy that is latent and ready to manifest and become the observable universe is indeed Vishnu and Lakshmi that too is your power my beloved Devi.
The observable universe that which is both the food and subject to witness is the very purpose of manifestation of the supreme consciousness itself. This is too certainly you my darling Devi. Known to the individual souls (Añu) as the Jnana Shakti (The divine power of knowledge), the subjects of knowledge have to protected at all times. The Añu know you as Sasaswati, the manifestation of your own power as knowledge.
When Brahma with Bhu Devi, all the Sadhus, the Deities and the Spiritual souls prayed to lord of action Vishnu; He manifested in the minds of the Sadhakas (the seekers) as they wished to see him. He was luminous like a thousand suns, dispelling the darkness everywhere. WITH PURITY OF MIND THE SEEKERS GOT THE VISION THEY WERE SEEKING; Vishnu appeared with a smiling face with with eyes that resembled a pair of lotus buds. With a disk in one hand and crunch in the other. A mace in his third and a lotus in the forth hand. He was seated on his vehicle Garuda and was accompanied by his consorts Sri and Bhu.
Brahma tried to sing hymns of praises but was chocked with blissful emotion at the vision of the great lord. Nevertheless he sang a beautiful verse to seek the blessings of lord Vishnu.
