Have you ever questioned the existence of GOD?

[dropcap]H[/dropcap] Have you ever questioned the existence of GOD? Have you ever thought, if GOD is looking after you, you would never be sad? If everything is destined to happen, why pray? If GOD has written your fate already, does that mean he wants bad things to happen to you? He wants a girl to get raped? And a kid to become an orphan? If he really exists, where is he? Up in heaven? Who has seen him? What proof exists that he is up there and looking after you?

 These are the questions everyone thinks of, but nobody is able to answer them. Because there is no answer to that. You can doubt the tricks of a magician but blindly believe in GOD?

 God is a funny yet powerful scam. And everyday billions of people are getting fooled and deceived. As soon as you’re born, you are forced to believe in the creator of this universe. And thank him every day for the food you receive and the life you live. God wants you to pray and worship him, cut goats for him, put Rs.101 for him in the temple, give him sweets, put a garland over his neck, and treat him like he is the greatest creature in the world. I wonder, when did he tell humans all this. And if he was so humble and great, would he really ask for all this?

 God’s existence is debatable. But religions are man-made. Every GOD has various distinctive expectations from different religions. Does it make sense when GOD is actually only one? One religion doesn’t mind humans eating animals while in another, eating animals is a sin. One religion says drinking is against GOD while other drinks to celebrate the birth of GOD. So which one should we believe? And which one is false?

 People go and pray in the temple in front of an idol, yet they say GOD is everywhere. Why bang the bell in the temple?[pullquote-left] People say GOD will give a man what he deserves, and if you do something bad, GOD will punish you. If that is the case, then why do courts and judges prevail?[/pullquote-left] To wake him up and make him listen to you? Does that mean he is sleeping and not listening to you? People carry GOD’s photos and yet say god is watching them all the time. So is GOD watching you having sex too? Is he a pervert? If he is watching you and all the other 7 million people, at the same time, and still actually paying full attention to you?

 If GOD is powerful, then there would be no murders, rapes, robberies, etc. Everyone would be happy. Some theists answer this by saying, you need some sadness in life too to know the value of happiness, and so is rape needed in life to understand the value of life? If GOD is capable of winning over evil, why does evil still exist? Is he ignorant? Or is he not capable?

People say GOD will give a man what he deserves, and if you do something bad, GOD will punish you. If that is the case, then why do courts and judges prevail? If a person has committed a crime, let GOD deal with him. If you have blind trust in GOD, let him do his work, why are humans taking his job?

Praying to god and meditating does give some strength, and some hope, so the concept of GOD is not such an awful thing. But expecting GOD to help you and save you is just absurd and illogical. Wearing a chain or a hand bracelet just cause it’s from some temple or place of worship, it won’t save your life. Just by praying for good marks for an exam, GOD isn’t going to magically give you those marks.

Hoping for karma and GOD to give you justice, is like expecting the sun to rise from the west. Pointless and irrational. So the next time you are asking GOD to help you in a difficult situation, think again, will GOD really help you?
