Lenovo Vibe X3 launched in India – An opinion

Lenovo has been making big bucks in India lately. Taking a cue from Motorola, the company has thrived by producing some impressive budget smartphones. With Motorola playing their own game, Lenovo has improvised their design with the help from Motorola. After the recent launch of Lenovo K4 Note, which saw a staggering opening in the flash sales, by selling 10k units in under a minute, the company is back with their next premium mid-ranger, Lenovo Vibe X3.

Albeit, the phones looks strikingly similar to K4 Note on the outside, there’s a lot of upgraded hardware inside.

Lenovo Vibe X3 Specs:

Model Lenovo Vibe X3
Display 5.5 inches 1080p Display
Memory 32 GB (micro sd up to 128 GB)
RAM 3 GB
Processor Snapdragon 808
GPU Adreno 418
Camera Rear 21 MP
Camera Front 8 MP
Battery 3600 MAh
Water Repellent NO
OS Android Lollipop 5.1.1
Other Features Fast Charging and fingerprint scanner

Price and Opinion: The specs sheet of the Lenovo Vibe X3, reminds us of the Moto X Style, with a fingerprint scanner. The device sports the Snapdragon 808 processor, with a fingerprint scanner and a 21 MP camera, if that isn’t enough to imitate the Moto giant, it also has the similar front facing speakers and the 3 GB RAM too. But, thankfully the 3600 MAH battery should give the device enough juice to run throughout the day.

Lenovo and Motorola have been trying really hard to get more market share in India, with their impressive set of Note, Vibe series’ along with Moto G and Moto Xs. But, the software from Lenovo looks so 90’s. It has been almost a year since the inception of Marshmallow, and it’s frustrating to see the phones release with Lollipop.

The device is priced at Rs. 19,999 /-. , it will give a tough competition in the mid-range category, where the competition is fierce, with Xiaomi, OnePlus, Samsung, HTC, Huawei and Nexus smartphones.

If you’re looking for more affordable devices, you may consider the OnePlus X, Lenovo K4 Note.
