Here’s Why You Should Be More Excited For The Pixel 2 Than The iPhone 8

Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 will be launched tomorrow in the USA and we’re expecting an early launch in India this time, this week or as early as next week. The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus were launched in India just last week, but you should be more excited for the Pixel 2.

Why should you be excited?

There’s only one reason: The Camera. The word Pixel (a minute area of illumination on a display screen, in one of many from which an image is composed), in itself, has an image in it. The Pixel that was released last year, still has the better camera than some of this year’s flagships. So, even if we see a slightly better camera than last year’s model, we’re sold.

The ever so reputed Evan Blass has once again proved his prowess by leaking the devices.

Pixel 2 & Pixel XL 2 Specs:

There won’t be much difference between the Pixel 2 and the Pixel XL 2 in terms of specs, except the screen size and battery. But, design wise, the Pixel 2 looks the same old big bezeled phone, while we can accept the huge bezels on the iPhone 8 in 2017, I guess, we should be okay with this one too. At least you get front-firing stereo speakers on this one.

Price and expected release date in India:

The Pixel 2 may be launched in India this week itself or early next week. In any case, we should see the phone real soon.

Last year, the Pixel starting price was 54,000 Rs/- in India, this year also we expect similar pricing. Although, we would love to see the price below 50,000 Rs/-, in which case, Google will have the upper hand of getting the customers of lower premium range. Since the iPhone 8 starts at 64,000 Rs/-, we may also see the Pixel 2 price go as high as 60,000 Rs/-. But anything more than 50,000 Rs/-, Google should really forget high sales of Pixel 2 in India. There are better options above 60,000 Rs/-, such as the Samsung Galaxy S8+, Note 8, iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus.
