Amazon, the world’s largest online marketplace, is suing more than 1,000 people who it accuses of offering to write fake reviews on its website.The web giant filed a lawsuit against 1,114 alleged fake reviewers, who it says are tarnishing its brand reputation with “false, misleading and inauthentic” reviews, GeekWire reports.
There are many companies which offers fake reviews by anonymous persons for money and few of them are listed in Fiverr and other freelancing websites. The online sellers are taking serious note of this issue and are taking all the necessary steps to curb of these users claiming as “John Doe”. Still, there are sellers who purchase fake reviews, who give them 5 stars and also allows the seller to write reviews for themselves.
So, if you are thinking that you are going to buy the product based on reviews from fellow customers in Amazon, Snapdeal and Flipkart, then think twice. Don’t get fooled by fake reviews. Always make a point to ask among your friends who have the hands on experience with the device you probably want to buy.
