Today India witnessed, #MarchForIndia protest march led by Actor Anupam Kher counter the protests by writers and artistes against “rising intolerance” in the country. Thousands of people, irrespective of religion, caste, creed gathered in the ‘March For India’ rally from National Museum to Rashtrapati Bhavan, which was also joined by filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, Ashoke Pandit, Priyadarshan, Manoj Joshi, Abhijeet Bhattacharya and writer Madhu Kishwar among others.
The NDTV journalist, Bhairavi Singh reportedly started asking the people gathered there by asking them whether they were paid to participate in the event.
This behavior of the anchor allegedly caught the wrath of the protesters and they gave it back (no full video proof yet) to her as it came. Soon, Bairavi Singh started to cry victim about the incident, as we can make out from her following Tweets.
First was called a prostitute, heckled, chased just for saying that the Indian creative world is divided on this issue @AnupamPkher

Shaken, scared by goons who didn't understand a word of what I said at the March @AnupamPkher
— Bhairavi Singh (@Bhairavi_NDTV) November 7, 2015
I was thrust a poster in my face, told I'm a paid journalist- asked to wear a congress cap @AnupamPkher @imbhandarkar

There were people from all the religion in the march. But, the journalist brings in the religion card from nowhere!
Being proud Hindu means terrorising anyone who says anything @AnupamPkher I was abused, heckled, pushed by educated people and a mob
— Bhairavi Singh (@Bhairavi_NDTV) November 7, 2015
After being heckled, told your fault – you deserved it as you were reporting false things @AnupamPkher @imbhandarkar

And in the following tweet, she reveals that she was present there to give her point of view and not to report the news.
Now of course being terrorised on Twitter as well… @AnupamPkher just for giving my point of view !

An artist named Giti Thadani present in the protest march alleges that the NDTV journalist also provocated the people present around by calling them names.
This incident reminds us of Rajdeep Sardesai slap gate incident in the US, when PM Modi was touring the US. Sardesai was asking people around the Madison Garden whether they were paid to participate in the incident. This turned into an ugly brawl between Rajdeep Sardesai and Modi supporters.
Rajdeep Sardesai expressed full solidarity with the NDTV journalist.
Just saw video. Full solidarity with the reporter. https://t.co/t8HUav6JWw

The above incident looks as if it was designed to malign Modi and the mandate that elected him in the full majority in May, 2014.
