Lord RAM is out trending on twitter since the 1st February morning. But, if you think it has to do something to do with Ravan or Ayodhya case you are completely wrong. The trend started after a Bihar court agreed to hear a petition filed against Lord Ram, for him being cruel with his wife, Sita. Ram’s brother Laxman is also in the list of accused, for helping Ram in this matter.
Thakur Chandan Singh, a senior lawyer filed the case in the court of the chief judicial magistrate (CJM) in Sitamarhi, north Bihar. According to mythology, Lord Rama disowns Seeta after doubts on her chastity were raised, this is described in Sargas 115 to 118 of Yuddha Kanda of Srimad Ramayana. The sargas explain Seeta parityaga (Disowning of Seeta), Seeta Agnipravesha, arrival of all GODs and Sri Rama accepting Seeta. Traditionalists justify the action of Ram citing his overriding responsibility of setting right standards in society as a king. Feminists criticize the culture of that era and Hindu religion for being anti-woman.
However, this new case on Lord Sri Rama has escalated the things to a new level. It adds on as a feather to the cap of existing controversy around Ram with Ram Mandir issue being the biggest till date. The next big question is, on who will represent Lord Rama in the court.
Here is how twitter reacted to Lord Ram being dragged to court-

Anyway, if this Lord Ram case goes to court, it will be fun. For the first time, the judge will be calling the accused – My Lord.
