In an unprecedented retaliation for a cowardly terror attack, Indian Army special forces crossed LOC and killed 20 terrorists. Some media reports suggest that as many as 200 people have been injured due to firing.
Two units of the elite 2 Para commandos comprising 18-20 soldiers were involved in this operation. They flew across the LoC in the Uri sector in military helicopters. And carried out an operation that killed at least 20 suspected terrorists across three terror camps in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Independent sources say that Indian Prime Minister was in MO Ops room when this top secret operation was carried out. The operation was carried out in the intervening hours of 20 and 21 September.
We can recall that PM Modi had tweeted that the terrorists behind the cowardly attacks of Uri “will not go unpunished”. And now we can safely assume that the government has started a strong retaliation. And hope that this is one of the many attacks to come to end this rogue terrorism.
We strongly condemn the cowardly terror attack in Uri. I assure the nation that those behind this despicable attack will not go unpunished.

India’s defence minister Manohar Parrikar, speaking at an event earlier had hinted that the retaliation will not be mere words. “Won’t go into details of what India can do, but sometimes knee-jerk reaction is required,” he said.
Update: We are awaiting more details regarding this operation from the concerned sources. And Readoo India has not been able to verify any claims made on the post.
