This is no time to write a story on the importance of peace, neither is it the time to discuss political malfunctioning. It’s not the time to think and speak of who is right and who is wrong. It is not the time to blame the system and the governments for the grave and fateful incident that has happened. But instead, this is the time to mourn the death of those 17 brave hearts who sacrificed their lives trying to protect the nation. This is the time to think about the pain of the families which have lost a Son , a husband, a brother , a loving father or a caring friend. Yes, I am talking about the terrorist attack on Uri and the sacrifice of 17 men from the Indian army.
How beautiful are those words which read,” When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.” But when you realize all those words just look good on books and the reality that these are the words which politicians often use to make us feel that they are working really hard to bring peace in the areas affected. But in reality, no one wants peace. Imagine if there is no Kashmir issue, there wouldn’t be the death of soldiers, and if they don’t sacrifice their lives and the country is at peace then you can’t win elections or earn votes making aggressive propaganda speeches, and say you would destroy Pakistan in 5 minutes. Then development and work that you do can only save you from embarrassment and failure. This exactly is why politicians don’t want peace. But the people who pay the price for these cunning and cruel acts of politicians are those who really love the country.
And now coming to those who idolize terrorists like Burhan wani, those who say he was to be arrested, he was to be tried rather than being killed, who give hours of lecture on peace and absence of violence, why are your voices shut today? Why aren’t you white feathered peacekeeping pigeons raising your voices against the brutal killing of 17 men whose only mistake was that they loved India more than their lives. Where are your witty words like,”Why do wars happen? What are so many people dying for? When will we understand? We can’t solve issues through war but through peace, and by understanding!!” All you want peace and understanding right? Well, those 17 men who martyred also lived for peace and understanding only. All they didn’t do was to stand by with folded hands before them the terrorists who attacked them. They didn’t dress up our country on a platter and go over and give it to them. You want peace. All those 17 men who laid their lives also wanted peace and understanding. They didn’t go attack another country. It was their country that was attacked! That road, that patch of earth that they lay dying on is a part of India’s land! To India, it belongs. First, understand these simple things. Then go give your lecture about peace.
For those of you who don’t understand the motions that come in my heart just thinking about our fallen heroes, I have no words to describe your foolishness or to intentions to address your stupidity. And for those who feel connected with my views, For our better tomorrows, they gave us their todays. Salute to all the brave hearts who martyred saving the integrity of the Country. It is the duty of the nation and everyone in it to salute them for their bravest and highest form of sacrifice. Let their souls rest in peace. Amar raho
