Motorola recently revealed the successor of their hugely successful budget phone the 2nd Gen. Moto E. Meanwhile, Lenovo, on the other hand, came up with the Xiaomi like flash-sale idea for their budget phone Lenovo A6000. While both phones are priced similar (Rs 6999/- ), we can’t say they’re competing against each other. Technically, both are coming from Lenovo itself.
Here’s how they look like:
Lenovo A6000 Specifications
Moto E Specifications
Moto E(2nd Gen.) is a welcome upgrade over the 1st gen. device. As it improved in almost every way. Some drawbacks of the 1st gen. phone have been noticed and improved in the 2nd Gen. Moto E. So, things like front facing camera improved battery, auto-focus, screen size, and processor, have been upgraded. The phone also comes in a 4G version with Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Quad-core processor, Though it’s slightly over-prized, we are not sure of the availability of the 4G version in India. Boosted battery, Low-resolution display with Android Lollipop will give the device amazing battery life. Moto E (1st Gen.) was one of the top selling phones in 2014 and so will be this one.
Lenovo A6000 – Bigger screen, better display and sound, better camera, better processor, thinner and lighter than Moto E.
Lenovo A6000 is one of the hot-selling smartphones in India right now. They found success wth flash sales. The device has been getting good reviews as well.
Moto E(2nd Gen.) – No Flash for the camera, Smaller and Low-resolution display and little heavier than A6000.
Lenovo A6000 – No Android Lollipop(May receive later), Smaller battery for the bigger phone with high-resolution display.
Though it’s a tough choice, we would go for the 2nd Gen. Moto E. Just because of the great brand and better values with lots of improvements over the 1st Gen. Moto E. Also, the choice depends on the requirements. If you need a bigger phone with better display, the Lenovo A6000 is for you. But, if all you need is a perfect budget smartphone, I would close my eyes and choose the Moto E(2nd Gen.) – if I were you.
