Motorola unveiled 3 new devices a couple of months ago in the USA, the Moto G 3rd Gen., Moto X Play and Moto X Style. As expected, these devices are being announced in India one by one. The Moto G 3rd Gen. was released in India in August, followed by the Moto X Play in September and now the Moto X Style in October. Here’s how the phone stands against the companies own device Moto X Play:
Moto X Style Specs:
Model | Moto X Style | Moto X Play |

As you could see, the phone comes with a strong specs sheet even though the fingerprint scanner is missing. We expect the device to get Android Marshmallow very soon after the release. Motorola is known for their software release in their post-Google era too. And you also get to enjoy Motorola’s simple yet exciting additions to the software such as the gesture controls (Moto Actions), Moto Display, Moto Assist and Moto Voice.
The phone is priced at $399 in the USA. We expected similar pricing (~Rs. 26,000/-) in India, considering the price of the Moto X Play. But the device is priced at 29,000 Rs. /-. for the 16 GB model, which is 4K more than it should have been. There are a lot of options for the buyers in the less than 30,000 Rs./- range such as the OnePlus Two and the soon to be released Nexus 5X.
The phone is available in India via Flipkart from October 14th with various release day offers.
