OnePlus is no longer the startup flagship manufacturer it used to be. They want to be more than that. Today they have announced their mid-range smartphone OnePlus X in India. The device will be manufactured in India and comes in two variants, Onyx and Ceramic. The ceramic version of the phone is a limited edition with only 10,000 units supply!
OnePlus X Specs:
The phone runs with SnapDragon 801 SoC, yes you’ve heard it right. The same two years old processor, that was once a flagship runner. With a 13 MP camera and expandable storage, the device is solid on paper, except for a mediocre battery, which we feel, should see through a day-of-use with ease.

Should you buy it?
If you are considering a mid-range smartphone with some good specs, then the OnePlus X is definitely a device to look for. Other than an out-dated processor, everything else about the phone is impressive. It surely is a competitor for the Moto X Play, and the OnePlus beats out the Moto device in every aspect, except the battery and screensize. So, in our opinion, the OnePlus X will be a good value for your money in the less than 20K range.
If your budget is a little more you can still consider the OnePlus Two or even the OnePlus one, which has the similar price point. Somewhere in the middle, OnePlus made their own device being competed with the OnePlus One. Oh, did we forgot to say that the phone also sports a brand new ear phones from the company?, it’s called OnePlus Icons!
Release date and price in India: The Onyx model will be available at Rs. 16,999/- starting 5th November and the Ceramic limited edition will be available later. Both devices are invite only and they can be purchased via Amazon India.
