Google launched their latest Nexus devices, the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P in India last month. The Nexus 5X was priced at 32,000 Rs. /- and 35,900 Rs. /- for the 16 and 32 GB models respectively. Which was way higher than the price in the US (379$). Now after a month, both the Nexus 5X and 6P got a price cut.
The Nexus 5X starts in Amazon India at Rs. 24,489/- for the 16 GB version and Rs. 29,950 /- for the 32 GB model.
Here’s the specs sheet of Nexus 5X:

- 7.9mm thickness
- 136 grams
- 12.3MP rear camera
- 5MP front camera

2GB RAM
16/32GB storage (no card slot)
Android 6.0 Marshmallow
2,700 mAh battery
4G LTE
Fingerprint scanner with Android Pay support
Opinion: The price cuts makes the Nexus 5X one of the best phones in the range. The good thing about the Nexus devices are, guaranteed software updates from Google. If you have a phone from Motorola or Samsung you will understand the pain of having an obsolete software. Considering the fragmentation of Android versions, it is understandable that, no other OEM will provide the kind of support that we could get from Google. Latest OS updates and solid specs sheet in a compact package makes the Nexus 5X one of the best devices you can buy right now.
If you’re looking for a non-Nexus device with a very good specs sheet, you may be interested in the Moto X style or the OnePlus Two.
