BJP Yuvamorcha Karnataka today filed a criminal case against renowned historian Ramachandra Guha, in Malleswaram police station Bangalore for linking the murder of writer turned activist Gauri Lankesh with RSS. Guha had earlier accused Sangh Parivar of carrying out the murder of Gauri Lankesh.
He has said that
“It was likely that Gauri’s murderers came from the same Sangh Parivar from which the murderers of Pansare, Dabholkar and Kalburgi came… The ruling dispensation in Delhi has created a climate of hate and intolerance.”
The Yuvamorcha had earlier issued a notice to Guha on Monday seeking his unconditional apology in this matter and for pulling in RSS name in the Gauri Lankesh murder which occurred on 5th of September this year. The Yuva Morcha had given 3 days time for Guha to apologise failing to comply to the aforementioned issue would lead to criminal charges being filed against him.
It is to be remembered that any significant developments in the Gauri murder case hasn’t happened and the investigation is still in progress. Any organisation or persons are not being accused or convicted of the aforementioned murders. We have to wait and watch to see what turn the events take in the future.
BJP seems to have finally learnt from their age-old mistakes of not fighting legal battles against false/ improper allegations made against them. It is a good news for BJP supporters to know that their party has started to take it to the legal grounds to fight battles than to fight fake news and allegations on social platforms and press interviews.
This has also come in the wake of recent incident where Jay Shah, the son of BJP national president Amit Shah filed a 100 crore defamation case against The Wire that had accused of irregularities in the balance sheets of a firm run by him
